“48 Stones” Installation
Created during the Shiro Oni Residency in 2023, this installation features forty-eight anagama-fired ceramic pieces, each representing a stone from the Sanbaseki River Gorge in Onishi, Gunma. The pieces are displayed on a sumi ink painting stretching eight metres, representing the river, laid over tatami mats.
